Special Project: Church Planting Startup Fund

The initial expenses of a new church plant in Japan often exceed the financial resources of the small nucleus of believers. As the church grows it becomes financially independent. But at first it is a challenge for the church plant to cover such items as transportation costs for those who teach/preach and facility rental.
This special project is designed to help overcome this initial financial hurdle and to be of encouragement to the new church plant. This project gives the young church some encouragement at its beginning stages but does not generate long term financial dependency. It is a jumpstart for the church plant.
THIS IS PROBABLY OUR MOST URGENT SPECIAL PROJECT! Until these special project funds come in, we are required to pay these extra startup costs from our own salary.
