On Easter Sunday in April 1987 we began worship services at Owariasahi EFC. Our nucleus of believers was the five young at heart people above.

Each Sunday for the first 3 years we met for worship in our living room.

Ann taught outreach craft and cooking classes--also in our home.

Several ladies were baptized during our ministry at Owariasahi, first in a nearby river and then in the baptistry of the new facility.

The mission owned house where we lived and where meetings were held for the first 3 years.

In 1993, the church bought the house and added the sanctuary. They did this with the financial help of the Central District of the EFCJ and with a gift from the EFC of Canada womens group.

At the same time, the church called its first pastor, Mr. Imori. He had worked alongside us for one year. In early 1994 we moved to our next assignment.

Mr. Noguchi, on the left in the picture above. became the pastor in 2001. The photo was taken in May 2004. Miss B, standing at Dale's right elbow, was part of our original nucleus of believers! She appears 17 years earlier as the person on the left in the top left photo on this page!

Ann and Kristy were able to visit the Owariasahi church in April 2007. Here they are pictured with Pastor and Mrs. Noguchi in the middle.
