Praise
- Give thanks that since Howard and Marilynn Plucar arrived in February as the pastoral couple of the English Department of Musashino Chapel Center (MCC), where we have been the interim and part time pastoral couple for the past few years, we are now able to give our attention to developing strategy for an exciting new church planting project in Tokyo.
- We are thankful that Chie K. from California will be our short term teacher from Apr-Jun/2010 in the three Evangelical Free Church of Japan churches with which the EFCCM partners in evangelistic English class ministry. (tokyoteam.net)
- We are grateful that Matthew has been accepted at Biola to begin his undergraduate studies and that Kristy has been accepted into a doctoral program in clinical psychology at Wheaton. They both begin their studies in the fall at these schools or at other schools to which they have also applied.
Requests
- Ann continues with her monthly evangelistic English classes north of Tokyo in Gunma Prefecture. Pray that the ladies in her class will come to know, believe, and love Jesus Christ. (ritoru.net or tokyoteam.net)
- Pray that the Lord will bless our plans to lead an exciting and unique multi-cultural church planting project in Tokyo. We hope to have a strategy in place by June of this year, with MCC as the mother church. Our current start-up date for this project is the fall of 2011. (tokyochurch.org)
- We begin a one year home assignment in August 2010. We plan to split our time between Maine and British Columbia, visiting all our supporting churches and many supporting individuals. Pray that during our home assignment we will be able to recruit or confirm partners for our next church planting project, which we will lead when we return to Tokyo in the fall of 2011.
