Kristy graduated from Trinity Western University in April 2006 with a B.A. (honours) in psychology. She then worked as a hotel front desk clerk in BC, Canada, until December 2006.

From Jan-Jul 2007 Kristy taught evangelistic English conversation classes in three EFC of Japan churches in the Nagoya city area. Her ministry was done under a partnership agreement between the EFC of Canada Mission and the Central District of the EFC of Japan.

For the 2007-08 academic year she taught English in Tokyo in order to pay off her student loans (which she successfully did!).

Kristy joined the staff at Christian Academy in Japan (Tokyo) in Sep/2008 as a high school academic guidance counselor. Kristy herself graduated from CAJ in 2002. While on staff at this <missionary kid> school, Kristy is once again serving as a missionary with the Evangelical Free Church of Canada Mission, this time as a Professional Associate. She plans to begin her study toward a doctoral degree in clinical psychology in the fall of 2010.
