Tokyo Christian University (TCU) is located in Chiba prefecture just to the east of Tokyo City. It is the only government accredited evangelical Christian university in Japan. The undergraduate program consists of a liberal arts program with an emphasis on theology, welcoming both Japanese and English speaking students. TCU also has a graduate school, primarily intended for Japanese speaking students.
Since April 2005 Dale has been a part time lecturer in theology at TCU in the Asian Christian Theological Studies for English Students program. His students come from countries like India, Nepal, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the USA. So, unlike his teaching at Japan Bible Seminary, at TCU he teaches in English.
Tokyo Christian Theological Seminary, located on the same campus as Tokyo Christian University, and Japan Bible Seminary (JBS) are the two seminaries where most future pastors and missionaries of the Evangelical Free Church of Japan (website in Japanese only) receive their training. This can also be said of the bulk of evangelical churches and denominations in Japan.
